Meghan King, Ph.D.
Interdisciplinary geoscientist and sediment transport enthusiast
I am a geomorphologist and sedimentologist who uses field observations, lab analyses and numerical modeling to analyze and interpret landscape evolution with a scope ranging from modern fluvial systems to ancient shallow marine basins. My most recent postdoctoral work with Dr. Kendall Valentine focuses on using a multi-scale approach to quantitatively study the ecogeomorphic relationship between microbial mats, sediment stability and channel complexity on tidal flats in Willapa Bay, Washington.
